Andrew Miller Consulting believes in share and share alike principles found in the creative commons. We are a for-profit venture but we are equally a for-people venture and we feel that creative commons licensing fits in with our way of thinking.
So. What is this logo all about and why should I care? From the Creative Commons website:
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization
We work to increase the amount of creativity (cultural, educational, and scientific content) in “the commons” — the body of work that is available to the public for free and legal sharing, use, repurposing, and remixing.
CC provides free, easy-to-use legal tools
Our tools give everyone from individual creators to large companies and institutions a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permissions to their creative work. The Creative Commons licenses enable people to easily change their copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”
On this very website we used resources from other individuals who were willing to share the bounty of their talents using CC licensing. Primarily we’re talking about photographs that have been remixed to give this site the feel it currently has. This list is both our thanks and our committment to providing attribution to those deserving CC users. Photo’s on the site but not in this list are my own and I extend the Creative Commons Attribution, Non-Commercial, Sharealike 3.0 License to them.
