Tim Eby of WOSU, Jeff Johnson of Urban Infill and I participated in both discussions and really enjoyed our interaction with the attendees. Only a few days before Comfest and I spent a few moments at the June Columbus Social Media Cafe explaining the role we’ll play in this years New Media Center workshops and inviting folks to volunteer. I’ll be presenting a workshop about Flashmobs, Instant Organizing and Community building at this years Comfest here in Columbus. The presentation will be a part of the weekend long list of events, both musical and educational, at this years festival. Through a joint effort of several organizations and the Comfest Archive Committee a New Media Center is being erected in the Goodale Park Shelterhouse. I’ll be presenting at 1pm on Saturday, June 28, 2008. The full program is available here.
