Former Canal Winchester City Council member Victor Paini is the newest member of the city’s Landmarks Commission.
Mayor Michael Ebert appointed Paini to replace Bruce Jarvis, who resigned from the Landmarks Commission last month.
“When it comes to anything in the Preservation Area, whatever matter came in front of Bruce, he was always willing to talk things through,” Ebert said. “Victor is also very articulate about matters that come before him, and that’s one of the reasons we’ve asked him to join Landmarks.”
Paini served on Canal Winchester City Council from 2006-09. He currently is a Madison Township trustee and participated in the city’s Charter Review Commission in both 2005 and 2010.
“I was honored to be asked and I’m very happy to serve,” Paini said.
