I have been fortunate enough to have had work included in several juried and by-invitation shows, such as the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery “After Hours”, the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition, Blockfort Studios “Barter Show & More The Merrier”, and Upper Arlington Cultural Arts Division “Beyond Limbs & Leaves: Rekindling UA Ash”; as well as several non-juried events.
Sometimes expressing myself visually is the best way to prepare my mind for the work of writing. Besides mixed-media pieces, furniture, and sketches; I’ve found a deep love for photography. The thing is, when I was young there was no such thing as looking at your photos on a screen – you had to hold them in your hands.
I appreciate digital technology, even more so since I started shooting film and developing it myself at home; but, I still love having photos that I can hold, study, and display. These photos were created with a mix of digital and film technologies, printed on archival mat paper, framed and ready to hang. I am always exploring new ideas through my lens and what you will find below just happens to be what is framed and on-hand.
