The Easter Bunny will be busy hiding eggs for several egg hunts planned in Canal Winchester, Groveport and Madison Township.

Canal Winchester will host the second annual National Barber Museum Easter egg hunt, rain or shine, at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30, in Stradley Park, next to the Municipal Building at 36 S. High St.

Children up to age 12 are eligible to participate in the free event.

“There will be 120 dozen decorated, hard-boiled eggs, with special prize eggs in each age group,” organizer Joy Habegger said. “Grab a bag or a basket and come join the fun.”

The age categories for the Canal Winchester event will be 0 to 4 years old, 5 to 8 years old and 9 to 12 years old.

In Madison Township, the Asbury United Methodist Church South, 4760 Winchester Pike, will host its 17th annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m., Palm Sunday, March 24, for those up to 18 years old. The church will serve refreshments.

“We have a spot for the youth, too, because they’re just kids in bigger clothes,” organizer Teresa Burch said. “We’ll have coffee for the grownups and lots of fun and good things for everybody.”

Another option is the annual Madison Township Firefighters Easter egg hunt for ages 10 and younger. It will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30, in Brobst Park, 5355 Winchester Pike.

The Groveport Recreation Center is hosting a Lunch with Bunny event as well as an underwater Easter egg hunt event on Saturday, March 23, at the Recreation Center, 7370 Groveport Road. Parents are required to register ahead of time for both events.

The lunch begins at noon and is limited to 200 people. The menu includes hot dogs, soda and snacks and there will be games and crafts. The fee is $5 per person.

The underwater egg hunt is open to infants, toddlers (with a parent joining them in the pool) and children up to age 12. The event is set for 4 to 7 p.m. There is a $3 per-person fee.

Contact the recreation center at 614-836-1000 to register or for more information.
